Visit UCI CHRS

Really appreciate Dr. Amir Aghakouchak for inviting me to visit UC Irvine and the Center for Hydrometeorology and Remote Sensing (CHRS) this summer. It was a wonderful opportunity to share my research and receive valuable advice on my career path from Dr. Soroosh Sorooshian and Dr. Phu Nguyen. The CHRS group at UCI is a wonderful and peaceful environment for anyone passionate about science and research. I feel incredibly lucky to have had such a meaningful visit, made new friends, and enjoyed my time in Irvine.
When we took this picture, we had already posed for a more formal one. Then I asked Dr. Soroosh Sorooshian, “Can we also take a photo shaking hands?” He laughed warmly and said, “Sure! How about I give you an award? The Academy Member Award?”
I laughed and replied, “Let’s do that after 20 years!”
