Excited to Share Our AGU 2025 Sessions in New Orleans!

Date: July 28, 2025

I'm convening two sessions at the upcoming AGU Fall Meeting 2025 in New Orleans! If you're interested in urban hydroclimate research, we warmly welcome you to join us, especially early-career researchers in urban climate, hydrology, and related fields.

H041: Anthropogenic Impacts on Hydroclimate Processes and Extremes in Cities

We are excited to welcome our invited speakers: Dr. J. Marshall Shepherd (University of Georgia), Dr. Katherine (Katy) Serafin (University of Florida), and Dr. Bradford Johnson (Florida State University), who will share their research on urban rainfall, runoff, and flooding. This session is a continuation of our successful urban climate session from last year. I am honored to co-convene again with Dr. Ruby Leung (Pacific Northwest National Laboratory) and Dr. Jessica Eisma (University of Texas at Arlington). We are also joined by Dr. Aubrey Dugger (National Center for Atmospheric Research), who brings expertise in hydrological simulation. I’m very excited to meet you in person in New Orleans and to hear about your latest research on hydroclimate processes and the anthropogenic influences on urban water systems.

A052: Early Career Researcher Showcase in Urban Systems Research

As a fourth-year PhD student, I’m excited to contribute to this dialogue with fellow early-career researchers. I’ve submitted my work on urban evapotranspiration to this session, and I look forward to discussing not only research but also how we can build our personal research paths, develop efficient research skills, and navigate PhD life.
